From Heidelberg to Puerto Rico
Big ambitions often start with curiosity, enthusiasm and a healthy dose of team spirit. The robotics team "Strg+R(obotics)" from the Robotics Club at Bunsen-Gymnasium in Heidelberg, Germany, has demonstrated exactly that and we are delighted to support this special school project with a donation.
After months of preparation, three students aged 15 to 17 have qualified for the World Final of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO). By achieving an outstanding second place at the German National Final in the RoboMission/Senior category, they secured their place among the world's best young robotics teams.
The big goal
To represent Germany at the World Final in San Juan, Puerto Rico, from December 8 to 10, 2026!
Who is behind Strg+R(obotics)?
The World Robot Olympiad is an international competition that inspires children and young people to explore mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology. Working in teams, participants design autonomous robots, program them and tackle challenging tasks on a competition field. But it takes much more than technical skills: creativity, logical thinking, perseverance and teamwork are all essential.
Qualifying for the World Final is a particularly special achievement for Strg+R(obotics). In their fifth year of competing, the three students have reached the World Final for the first time. There, they will compete against the best teams from more than 100 countries. More than 32,000 teams worldwide originally took part in this year's competition season.
Supporting young talent together
We believe that this kind of commitment deserves support. Young people who enthusiastically take on technical challenges, develop solutions together and push beyond their own limits are achieving something truly special.
With our donation, we want to help make it possible for these three students to seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and represent Germany at the World Final. But every additional contribution makes a difference! That is why we would also like to encourage others to get involved and support this project.

We wish the entire team the very best of luck, exciting experiences and an unforgettable time in Puerto Rico! We're keeping our fingers crossed for you!
