mbits gives a talk at the IGIC 2019 in Mannheim

For the fourth time, the Conference on Image-Guided Interventions (IGIC) took place in the
Universitätsklinikum Mannheim. The conference was hosted by the research campus M²OLIE.
A series of exciting talks was given on this year's main topic Digitalization in Medicine.
mbits presented a contribution to the current project Touchless, Intra-operative Image Viewing Using Convolutional Neural Networks, which has been researched in cooperation with the Diakonissenkrankenhaus Mannheim for several weeks. The talk met with great interest followed by an exchange on current research in the field of Deep Learning and the application of neural networks in the medical practice. We thank you very much for the great discussions and the smooth organization of the event.
mbits wins NEO2019 prize
Innovation Award of the TechnologyRegion Karlsruhe goes to the KI-based "HoloMed" project
For the tenth time, the TechnologyRegion Karlsruhe was awarded the NEO innovation prize. In the Zentrum für Kunst und Medien (ZKM) the Holo Med project was awarded the NEO2019 Award, endowed with 20,000 euros. mbits developed the project together with the University Hospital Ulm, the User Interface GmbH and the Holo Med research group of the KIT, whose director Prof. Dr. Björn Hein accepted the award: "What a great and important award for our idea and our team. The prize confirms our assumption, that we are on the right track here and are developing a product that is relevant to society. Of course, we are now hoping for the radiance of this award in order to arouse the interest of potential investors," said Professor Hein about the award.

The German Medical Award takes place this year at MEDICA 2019 in Düsseldorf.
The leading medical and management award has been presented for several years and is regarded as an important award for innovation,
transparency and quality in medicine. We are very pleased to be among the nominees in two categories this year.
Our app mRay is a candidate for the German Medical Award in the category 'Medical Communication'. Furthermore, we were nominated with our current research project on the topic "Holistic Stroke Care" in the category 'Medical Innovation - Products'. We would like to thank for the nominations and look forward to the award ceremony on November 18th.
